What is covered under Accidental Damage / All Risk in a Home Insurance Building Policy ?

Cover is provided for all other damage caused suddenly and unexpectedly by an outside force or destruction of the buildings not covered under a general perils cover.

 

Excluding

  • loss or damage caused by wear and tear: settlement and shrinkage, vermin, insects, fungus, weather conditions, or any damage which happens gradually.
  • loss or damage caused directly by your pet animals, or your pet birds
  • loss or damage caused by faulty workmanship materials or design
  • loss or damage after building alterations, renovations, extensions or repair
  • loss or damage excluded elsewhere under the building section of the policy
  • maintenance and normal decoration
  • loss or damage caused by subsidence or heave or landslip

 

Although the Accidental Damage / All risk extension extends the cover available it excludes gradually operating causes. It does not include for general wear and tear or maintenance
